I am getting a bit frustrated with how SLA national communicates or doesn’t communicate with its members. It seems to rely on LinkedIn as a vehicle for general conversations about special libraries. The LinkedIn SLA group also has a great deal of noise and sales pitches as well as just plain spam, in my opinion. Why can’t SLA provide members with a better option? At least one of the things ALA does better is its use of email lists for its national organization. These are my own opinions and gripes.
