The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (part of the Library of Congress) plans to hire the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA), an ALA division, to revise the Standards and Guidelines of Service for the Library of Congress Network of Libraries for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.

The current version of the standards and guidelines were published in 2011.
