Monday’s SLA 2015 Highlights

The INFO-EXPO opens at 9:00 a.m. Take a ride down the escalator to find out about the newest technologies. And, join your colleagues for a networking reception at 2:00 p.m. (INFO-EXPO, CC Lower Level)

What’s on tap in today’s Master ClassesGrant writing (10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.), analytical tools (12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.), and global talent management (4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.)(CC Ballroom East)

The Rising Stars and Fellows Roundtable is an interactive Q&A session where you are bound to learn something new. Network with both experienced colleagues and newcomers to the profession. (12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., CC 254A)

Join us for an opportunity to discuss competency requirements for information professionals and provide feedback to the Competencies Task Force. Chair Dave Shumaker and other task force members will be on hand for the discussion. (4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., CC 153C)

Are you interested in learning more about how SLA works, or are you thinking about becoming more involved in your chapter or division or at the headquarters level?  Then make plans to attend the Mid-Year Leadership Tune-Up, where presenters will talk about leadership tools, then host a speed-dating session for information exchange.  (4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Westin, Harbor Ballrooms I & II)Chapter, division and caucus leaders will meet to discuss business at the chapter, division, and joint cabinet meetings.  All are welcome.  Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m.  (Westin, Harbor Ballrooms I, II, III)
