SLA Members Save at Knowledge & Info Strategy Summit ( Great Britain )

SLA has partnered with ASLIB to offer our members the ASLIB-member rate on the ASLIB Knowledge & Information Strategy Summit (AKISS). The summit is currently offering members its early bird rate until October 1st. SLA’s President-Elect will be in attendance as a presenter.

Brief conference details are below, or follow the link to register as an ASLIB member.      The British Library, London will host AKISS 2013 – The ASLIB Knowledge and Information Strategy Summit, on 5-6 December 2013.  

Roly Keating, Chief Executive of The British Library will chair Day 1 of the conference and on Day 2 Oliver Morley, Chief Executive and Keeper at The National Archives in the UK will preside as chair.

An introductory address will be made by Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission who is responsible for overseeing the Digital Agenda in Europe. Neelie Kroes will discuss how the Internet and digital technologies have fundamentally changed the way information is produced, stored, distributed and consumed.

Other speakers include Robert Bond, Mark Field, MP, Roly Keating, Naomi Korn, Neelie Kroes, Richard Newton, Euan Semple, and SLA President-Elect, Kate Arnold.
